Kicking Off the 2018 Guest Blog Series
Author Last Post

NDEO is kicking off the 2018 Guest Blog Series with an entry by Julie Hammond White, Director of Dance Education and a K12 Licensure Supervisor at the University of Southern Mississippi.  In her post Further Commentary on Teaching in Higher Education, she discusses some of the methods she uses to prepare her collegiate students for life after graduation, including examples of projects and assignments for technique and theory courses. As she states in the post, “Making a curriculum is a creative practice that must be responsive to the students involved in the process, highlight students’ strengths, challenge them in meaningful ways, capture the intention of the work through clear objectives and objective assessments, and above all, remain collaborative and interactive.”  You can read more here.

We are currently accepting guest blog submissions for publication this spring and summer! If you are interested in learning about NDEO’s Guest Blogger Series, please email Shannon Dooling-Cain at sdooling@ndeo.org.
