Hola NDEO members,
I am writing to let you know about a few exciting upcoming opportunities to see my work:
My full length evening solo show "No more beautiful dances" is almost done and it will premiere on May 30 & May 31 at 7pm at the La Mama Moves Festival in NYC. http://lamama.org/no_more_beautiful_dances/
I will also be doing a full-length run of the show as a work-in-progress on Saturday, April 28 at 6pm (with a 5pm reception) at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden in Staten Island, completing my Spring residency at this venue. Besides showing my choreographic work, I will be also showing 16 drawings and photos that are part of the creative process of the piece. http://snug-harbor.org/event/pass-no-beautiful-dances/
Thank you for your support! Anabella

“No more beautiful dances” wrestles with the ideas of exploration, introspection and reframing a woman after becoming a mother, and being an immigrant. Lenzu’s dance theater piece uses drawings, spoken word and video projections to tell a personal vision of femininity, and what it means to be a woman today.
Choreographer and Dancer: Anabella Lenzu
