Nominate yourself or another NDEO member to join the NDEO Board of Directors.  
Nomination Deadline: May 15, 2018 at 11:59pm


Review the Nomination Guidelines and Job Descriptions prior to submitting a nomination. Board positions up for election in 2018 are: 

1. Member of the Policy Board of Directors (2 positions)
2. Advisory Director of Awards
3. Advisory Director of National Honor Society for Dance Arts
4. Advisory Director of State Affiliates
5. Graduate Student Representative
6. Undergraduate Student Representative


POLICY BOARD (2 positions available) (Has voting authority) 

Members of this five-person NDEO Policy Board are elected for a 3 year term, and can serve a maximum of 6 years as a Director. This position is "general" in nature and shall provide leadership and assume responsibilities for establishing and implementing duties relevant to policy-making, financial matters, and legislative issues. All recommendations, action items, and motions put forth by the Advisory Board of Directors shall be considered by the Policy Board of Directors with appropriate action(s) taken. NDEO Board members are expected to attend all board meetings in person or via electronic delivery system and submit reports to the President and Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer for distribution as necessary.  Nominees for the Policy Board of Directors shall be members of the organization at least three (3) full consecutive years prior to nomination.

ADVISORY BOARD (3 positions available) (No voting authority) (Each elected for a 3 year term; can serve a maximum of six years as a Director)
  1. Awards
  2. National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) 
  3. State Affiliates
Nominees for the Advisory Board of Directors shall be members of the organization at least one (1) full year prior to nomination.

COLLEGIATE STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES TO THE NDEO BOARD  
(2 position available) (No voting authority) 
The Student Representatives (one Undergraduate and one Graduate) serve as the voice for student membership of NDEO and brings recommendations from the student body to the board for consideration. In liaison with the Director of Students, the Student Representatives help develop special interest area tracks for students at national conference.  Applicants will need to be a current student throughout the academic year 2018-2019 pursuing either an undergraduate or graduate degree, and be at the time of nomination and remain an active NDEO student member through 2018 and 2019. The selected applicant would also be expected to attend NDEO's 2018 National Conference in San Diego, CA (Oct. 4-7) and the 2019 National Conference in Miami, Florida (Oct. 23-26).
