Summer Immersion Workshop
June 18-22, 2018
University of Utah, Salt Lake City

Picture
The IMMERSION workshop is the perfect opportunity to immerse oneself in-depth in Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies. Participants can expect to enhance kinesthetic awareness, movement connectivity, hone observation and coaching skills, and come away with a “language” for movement in this week long workshop. The course physically and theoretically examines all major components of the Laban/Bartenieff System. In conjunction with a supportive community this workshop explores the somatic system of Irmgard Bartenieff including her “Basic Six Exercises” and Integrated Movement Studies’ Patterns of Total Body of Connectivity in addition to Rudolf Laban’s theories of Effort, Shape and Space Harmony. The course is team taught by the internationally known Integrated Movement Studies faculty of Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysts.
