Research Study Announcement: Seeking middle and high school dance educators for paid research study on Assessment in Dance Education


This study is being conducted to learn about the experiences of middle and high school dance educators with classroom assessment. Participants in the study will be asked to complete a series of three, 90-minute interviews to discuss their experiences creating and using assessments in dance education. 


Interviews will be conducted over Zoom and will be scheduled at a time agreed upon by the participant and researcher. 


Participants who complete all three interviews will receive payment of $120. 


To participate in the study, you should:

• Be a full time dance educator in a US-based public middle or high school

• Have at least three years of experience teaching dance at the middle or high school level and at least one year at your current school

• Have professional qualifications to teach dance, which may include a degree in dance or dance education and/or a professional teaching license/credential

• Include assessments as part of your teaching practice

• Be interested and willing to discuss your assessments in-depth over a series of three interviews
