NDEO's Call for Online Forum Moderators - Deadline to Apply is Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021

The NDEO Online Forums program is relaunching in January 2022 with a renewed focus on moderated conversations, the sharing of knowledge and insights, and building of community. We want to reduce the number of promotional posts in our subject specific forums so that we can increase member engagement and connection. Promotional posts will still be welcome in our Events forum.

Apply to be a Forum Moderator

Criteria:

  • Have an interest in or experience in your chosen sector, interest area, or student population
  • Current NDEO member who is not already heavily involved in Committee or a Board position
  • Able to commit to a one-year term minimum, with an option for a two-year term

Moderator Responsibilities:

  • To engage with the assigned NDEO online forum at least once a month, however, bi-monthly is preferred
  • To post “conversation” starters to engage the members and encourage them to share insights and knowledge at least once a month
  • To respond to posts from members to affirm their choice to share on the forum, to provide encouragement, or to add their voice to that specific conversation at least once a month
  • To notify the NDEO staff of any problematic posts

Details:

  • We expect to select a minimum of 4 Moderators per Online Forum.
  • If you have been an NDEO Online Forum Moderator in the past, you will need to reapply.
