Collaborations: A Mosaic of Possibilities
A mosaic is comprised of individually beautiful pieces that fit together to create a strong and impressive whole! The Chicago dance scene is fueled by artistic gems of all sizes and types providing rich opportunities to connect and excel. Chicago is home to Jazz and Tap legends, major Ballet enterprises, internationally recognized Modern companies, thriving independent artists, spectacular Ballroom, and a vast array of offerings from the World dance community. The Chicago Public Schools and Arts Education in Chicago are undergoing a metamorphosis that is nothing short of astounding. The new Cultural Plan for Chicago launched dialogue city-wide. Vision, leadership and true partnership will be highlighted as NDEO travels to Chicago to showcase teaching artists, dance educators, and support organizations who work together to reveal Collaborations: A Mosaic of Possibilities. Along with its many dance venues, this city by the lake is known for its exceptional architecture, museums, Higher Education institutions, Broadway in Chicago, restaurants and world-class shopping. The City of Big Shoulders is ready to welcome NDEO in 2014.
