Invest in the Future of Dance Education!

At NDEO, we believe that “It All Starts With A Dance Teacher!” We have seen first hand how impactful a quality dance education can be for students, regardless of their gender, age, race or culture, socio-economic status, ability or interest. We know that dance teachers make that impact possible, and we exist to support those educators in their good work. Be sure to thank your dance teacher for the special role that they have played in your life, and “pay it forward” by donating to the NDEO so that more teachers can benefit more students by providing them with a quality dance education. Help NDEO get closer to #DanceEducationforAll

NDEO's 2020 Online Auction - Nov. 1 - 22

In this unusual time when we are all struggling with both the health and financial effects of a global pandemic, the money raised from this auction is even more crucial to the survival of the livelihood of our members, our organization, and the field of dance education. The proceeds from the Online Auction will allow NDEO:

1) To provide scholarships to dance educators nation-wide so they can experience professional development via our OPDI Online Courses and National Conference.

2) To continue offering free online resources such as webinars and special interest group virtual meetings to build knowledge and enhance collaborative opportunities among dance educators.

Thom Cobb Memorial Fund

Thom Cobb passed away suddenly on December 2, 2016. This fund honors Thom's dedication to dance education and his service to NDEO. Thom has been a member of NDEO since 2002. He served two, three-year terms on the Board of Directors and was President 2013-2016. As president, Thom oversaw the restructuring of the NDEO governance, worked with the organization to get more states to offer teaching certification in dance, oversaw Task Forces that included the development of the Priorities for Dance Education, and provided both leadership and direction to the NDEO Board of Directors and NDEO Membership. When elected Thom said, "I am very happy to serve in this position and give back to an organization that has given me, and my wife, so much," Cobb said. Donate Now
