Registration is now open for the Noyes School of Rhythm Summer 2020 Programs.

Noyes Rhythm is an improvisational dance practice, closely related to nature, with a large body of technique exercises built on developmental movement patterns. The summer program is an immersive experience with balanced programming that includes classes in technique and improvisation with time for rest, creative process, and reflection. Dancers live in platform tents and dance to live piano music in the Pavalon, an historic open air studio. In 1919, Florence Fleming Noyes established Shepherd's Nine as the summer home for her school, and there has been continual summer programming for the last century.  https://www.noyesrhythm.org/

Programming runs for six weeks, from June 28-August 9. Each week has a different thematic focus. NDEO members may be particularly interested in Week 1: Deepening in Noyes Technique, led by Meg Brooker, Assistant Professor of Dance at MTSU, from June 28-July 5 and Week 4: Noyes for the Young at Heart, led by early childhood educator Patricia Carhart Collins, from July 19-26. There are also long weekend registration options for both of these weeks.
