OKLAHOMA INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL 2020
Professional Training Program:
Oklahoma International Dance Festival provides rigorous professional training for dancers, offers residencies for practicing dance artists, and presents performances with a renowned roster of local, national, and international dancemakers. The Festival has assembled a dynamic and diverse faculty, so dancers from throughout the region and beyond may experience an international view with working professionals in the field, here in Oklahoma.
Choreography Showcase:
Choreography Showcase offers a platform for aspiring and established choreographers to showcase their works and also take master classes from experts in the dance world. This two-week festival features masterclasses every day, two evenings of adjudicated concerts followed by feedback from the Festival international and national faculty.
Professional Development:
This 3-day seminar will offer an opportunity to take part in an experiential workshop designed to give participants an in-depth understanding of the new Oklahoma Academic Standards for Dance. The workshop will include hands-on activities focusing on practical application and curriculum integration, with time for processing and planning. Members of the dance standards writing committee will be available for a Q&A dialog. Participants will also observe and/or participate in Festival classes and rehearsals, and have the opportunity to interact in various Panel Discussions with the International Faculty.
