Hours: 10am – 2pm, with a break for lunch
Open to ages 13-18 (co-ed)

We are excited to offer, for the first time, a co-ed virtual summer dance program at the Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, Massachusetts. At Stoneleigh-Burnham School, young artists are encouraged to take their rightful place within the greater dance community.  At SBS, all dance forms are equal and valid.  We strive to share movement in community-oriented, nonhierarchical, body-positive, and culturally relevant ways. We will share ways to question and dismantle systemically racist dance practices. 

  • Students will take technique classes in contemporary, ballet, and jazz forms. 
  • Students will choreograph a solo movement study in their desired dance genre. 
  • Students will create a site-specific dance or improvisation within their home environment.
  • Every day, students will reflect upon their personal creative process and journey of artistic growth.
  • At the end of the week, students will share their dances with family and friends in a virtual Show and Share.
