Overview
Actively experience, explore, and apply the Language of Dance® Approach to dance and movement to promote: dance literacy; support integration of multiple learning modalities; uncover pedagogical frameworks that support deep learning in dance. Developed by Dr. Ann Hutchinson Guest, this approach immerses you in the world of dance, as revealed by the LOD Movement Alphabet, one of the key dance-based symbolic languages.
Through LOD, deepen your movement embodiment, artistic perception, and expression, and aesthetic valuing and joy in dancing. Each of these professional development courses for dance/arts educators, dance artists, movement specialists, and classroom teachers (K-12, private studio, higher education) introduces the Movement Alphabet, as applied to educational, creative or community settings, or as a tool to facilitate understanding with clients.
