Steppin' into Cultural Competency

Presented by Building Racial Equity in the Arts through Dance (BREAD) and sponsored by ClancyWorks Dance Company.

June 26th from 12:30-2:30pm EST

For dancers, dance educators, and those who are interested in DEI training. This immersive professional development workshop focuses on transforming teaching practices to advance and unpack anti-racist beliefs and biases by enhancing cultural competency. We will explore Black vernacular and engage in intensive movement with percussive dance style while connecting it to action and activism. The session will be virtual and facilitated by award-winning performing artist, Ryan Johnson.
