Protests and urban uprisings erupted across the country against oppression and the war in Vietnam. It was also a time when artists explicitly committed themselves to political liberation. Join us as we explore Katherine Dunham's role in fostering the Black Arts Movement of the late 1960s and how the fusion of dance and politics lives on today.
